This is a completely hypothetical scenario, but here goes.....

Paul Scally has just appointed you as Gillingham Manager and there are five things you can do to improve the team, What Are Five Things You Would Do As Gillingham Manager and why ???

1. Find out precisely where each player feels their strength lies and play them there.
2. Pick a formation and make it VERY clear that dropping deep all the time is forbidden unless interchanging (ie Jet and Dack swopping etc).
3. Create more space on the pitch by introducing more width and stop players playing in a narrow formation from dropping deep congesting the middle of the pitch!
4. Play a stable midfield so they know each other well. We have possibly 3 of the best midfielders in the league in Dack, Wagstaff and Jet, they need to learn their strengths and play passes that are almost telepathic.
5. Admit defeat. Bring in somebody who could actually sort the defence out!
