Welcome to the board Buster. True I guess but I can't help but think he would still garner interest from smaller European clubs or, in England, larger League 1 level clubs. Even if he dropped to 8-10k a week, I think that would be out of our ability within the financial fair play rules.

Hi guys.... having watched the Grimsby v Man U game can anyone at the club please employ who,ever buys players to go and sign Gardener the young lad up front for Grimsby he is a superb player and would suit The Gills he has endless energy and is a brilliant footballer.... even if we kept him for a few years he would be worth so much more to sell on...this lad is going to the very top he can get the Gills up this year ... over to you....

Welcome Buster nice thinking about how to improve the Gills you have a great sense of humor. I bet Dali Alli is already at the airport in Como trying to figure out which airport is the nearest to Priestfield the home of the mighty Gills.. Deli Alli was making 5 millions a year at Como ,the Gills salary for ALL PLAYERS was only 4 million a year.Now if he can play goal keeper, forward and score twenty goals a season, play defender ad midfield all at the same time,then sign him,if he can't sorry we can't afford him.
As for Gardener if he is as good as you seem to think he is, don't you think Grimsby will want to keep hold of him, or possibly sell him to a Championship Club for more Money than the Gills could pay ? Oh by the way the transfer window closed yesterday.

Hey Buster, just between me and you I heard that Cristian Ronaldo is leaving Al-Nassr at the end of the season, maybe he might want to come and play for the Gills,by then we will be in the FIRST DIVISION playing the Giants of English soccer like Port Vale , Exeter City and Northampton Town. Just thinking out loud.
