Nice to get Oldham after they bounce Wolves out of the Cup, what luck we have, still I guess you have to play 'em all sometime. Their away form in the league is pretty poor, one win out of what 8 games and they ship an average of a couple of goals a game , although this Danny Philis in a skirt ,seems to be knocking a few in.
Find it amazing only just over 4,000 were at Molin X for the replay, 3000 + at Gillingham for our game, I guess the Magic of the Cup has worn a bit thin in the early going?
Come on Taylor, get the lead out of their boots , put the Cup in the rear view mirror and lets have a nice win on Saturday, Gill'ham 2-1 Old'm , that will do .

The first of two home games in the space of four days.Oldham had a great victory at Wolves in the FA Cup last night, and we got dumped out by Brackley. It will be a tough game as it usually is against Oldham. With Hewitt,Harriman,Hewitt, and Fagan likely to be in the squad, hopefully we will be fresh and ready.Gregory looks to be out for a while, and Kedwell could miss the game on Saturday according to Taylor.

Team? I would make quite a few changes to the side at Brackley.I would start Davies in place of Legge,as he played twice in 2-3 days and looked a bit dodgy on Monday.Hewitt to go to RB after he impressed at Sheffield Utd.Mousinho in DM in place of the injured Gregory.Fagan on the wing.If Kedwell is injured then Bayo to partner Cody.I know Taylor will probably not pick this Team, with a bit of depth in the Squad we can freshen the Team up for Stevenage.

Nelson
Hewitt,Davies,Barrett,Martin
Mousinho
Fagan,Dack,Whelpdale
Akinfenwa,McDonald

Subs:Howard,Harriman,Legge,Hollands,Lee,Weston,German,

If we could get atleast 4 points from Oldham and Stevenage that would be a pleasing total.

I think 4 will be the target and anything less should be perceived to be under-achieving as it could suck right back into the danger area where a couple of sides will quickly be breathing down our necks. I think he will bring back Hollands as he has effectively been rested. I don't think he believes Cody is the answer either but I think he needs one last full 90 minutes to prove he can offer something to the side. I would go with:

Nelson
Hewitt,Legge,Barrett,Martin
Davies, Mousinho
Fagan,Lee,Whelpdale
McDonald

Well I guess it must all be our fans fault again.

Its was the fans who couldnt play the ball out from the defence, it was the fans who lumped the ball forward when not under any pressure whatsoever so the ball
kept coming straight back at us.

It was the fans who didnt really have an attempt at goal for about 75 minutes.

Total bollox, glad I am away on holiday for a month and do not have to endure another game for a while. Maybe I will forget just how useless we are and want to go again
next year.

I only managed to listen to the second half, but I cant have missed much by reading the Tweets at half-time.It did sound really dull, and I don't remember a stand out chance for us.I read a lot of Tweets saying a "Lack of passion" Was that the case? I`m disappointed we did not get something from the game,as we should have been looking at 4-6 points from these two home games. We have tougher games coming soon,so we need to beat Stevenage on Tuesday. They will be full of confidence after beating Peterborough away today.I would like to see us go 4-3-3 and attack them, but I doubt Taylor will.

It really wasn't good. Oldham were poor but we just didn't test them. If you count Kedwell's looping header at the end of the first half that dropped the other side of goal, it was only time we troubled the goal and had no corners. I said about giving Cody a chance for 90 minutes to prove himself and that's what he got but he looks so low on confidence wanting extra touches. Kedwell was fantastic, everywhere as usual but only because nobody else seemed to want to and after about 20 minutes we went into panic mode - everytime the ball came it was hoofed away like a side 1-0 up with minutes to go and under the cosh! Why the side have regressed I don't know, we looked more dangerous in the first few games under Taylor than most of last season but no can barely fashion an attempt at goal. One thing is certain it's not tactics so why don't the players seem to want to score?

NINTY MINUTES + of football against a team on par with us and we managed ONE shot on goal ? OK lets say for arguments sake Allen "lost the team", well the players got the guy they wanted in Taylor, seems he has lost the team as well, they are obviously not working very hard for him either. Guess we need a new manager every few weeks, bring 'em in on 4 week contracts Scally or we will be paying 9 managers by the end of the season in an attempt to stay up.

There seems to be no pattern or consistency in either our play or our results. One thing's for sure; if Taylor has got a 'style of play' the players don't have the skills to implement it.

I understand the jump from one division to a higher division can come as a shock to some teams, (see Crystal Palace), what I don't understand is how we can only have ONE shot on goal in a game, or one or two corners each game , but still had 30 minutes worth off possession ?
I know we came up as Champions and I for one had drunk the Kool- Aid, had visions of pushing for a top 7 finish, but bloody hell that Kool -Aid bottle has been empty now since about game 7 of the season.
I think Scally has done his part since his bottle became empty, he has allowed Taylor to bring in players he wanted ,what I can not understand is when does the players bottle run out of the magic stuff ?
I think they must be wandering past our newly extended trophy cabinet each morning and still think it is the 2012/13 season.
