I must have been at a different game KFG.With respect all their goals came from corners/ crosses. Legge doesn't hold close order with his oppo and they were getting headers in for free. It's true we were two up ,two breakaways resulting in scores but look at the possession stats. We were always on the back foot.

Without Cody absolutely nothing up front. Great to have had the half hour of false dawn but realistically we were so bad after conceding the first goal - that's the worst hour of GFC I've seen in a very long time.

I rate Danny Kedwell very highly and think he is a very good player.

However, with Adebayo Akinfenwa going and midfielders Brennan Dickenson, Doug Loft, Jermaine McGlashan, Josh Pritchard and Aaron Morris all signing this summer, and Jake Hessenthaler and Bradley Dack both signing four year contract extensions this year - I can see Peter Taylor changing our formation to a 4.2.3.1 formation this season and Akinfenwa probably doesn't fit into this style of play - where as Danny Kedwell has played as a lone striker, as Birchall got injured at the start of the 2011 / 2012 season and Kedwell spent most of that season on his own - then we signed Kuffour, Nouble, Vine and Tomlin either on loan or on permanent contracts.

Kedwell is probably more willing to accept a cameo role as a substitute at his beloved Gills then Akinfenwa was, although with Cody's injury likely to be a long term one, Kedwell could lead the line again the same way he did three season's a go.
