I have voted for John Egan who I thought was outstanding. For such a young player he looked like he has 300+ appearances behind him.If any scouts were watching they may look at signing him next year.He was in the right place at the right time, and made important blocks and tackles. He was unlucky his header in the first half went just wide.
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

There were many exceptional performances from the boys in blue and Cody McDonald's 49th and 50th Gillingham Goal's of his career saw Gillingham beat Peterborough United 2 - 1, and usually that would be enough for me to vote for Cody McDonald as Man Of The Match, But there were so many excellent performances from Kortney Hause, Doug Loft, Bradley Dack, Jake Hessenthaler, Aaron Morris and Jermaine McGlashan that selecting one player for Man Of The Match was going to be very difficult.

But I have decided to vote for John Egan who's performance in the heart of Gillingham's defence was magnificent, Egan is so comfortable and composed in possession of the ball, he has the pace to track back and go toe to toe with Kyle Vassell (which is a achievement in itself), Egan made some important blocks and crucial interceptions through-out the game and he was unlucky to see his header go wide from Bradley Dack's fantastic cross in the first half.

And before the match on Tuesday night, I had just brought my new Gillingham Shirt and put John Egan's name and number on the back, I had to queue for ages because those Italian Fans looked liked they were buying everything in The Gills MegaStore.
