Peter Taylor Praises Peterborough United's Transfer Policy

Peter Taylor Praises Peterborough United's Transfer Policy as Peterborough United have sold the likes of Britt Assombolonga, Dwight Gayle, Ryan Bennett, Paul Taylor, George Boyd, Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith for huge amounts of money, especially Britt Assombolonga who moved to Nottingham Forest for £5,500,000.

Peter Taylor hopes that Gillingham can eventually do the same-thing themselves, although he admits that we have a lot of catching up to do, of our new young signings John Egan looks the most likely to move on for big money.

I think Peterborough are a great example in the lower Leagues of buying good young talent and selling them on for a big profit. It would be nice to copy them, but they do have a good owner in darragh macanthony who has quite a bit of money.I think more often than not at the moment we will be signing free transfers and then look to sell them on,rather than paying a fee and selling them on.It has worked with Gazzaniga, and Egan looks likely to go the same way a free transfer and sold for good money.

Letter from Scally.............................Taylor old chap, stop talking rubbish, any more of talk like this and the fans will think I care. Now get on with keeping us in the !st Division ,around 12th will be fine, that way I can at least increase the cost of tickets for next year.
