Spoilt, misguided or just plain stupid?

Postby Garawa » Sat Feb 07, 2015 10:26 am

I can't help but smile when I read all these posts from Gills fans about Justin Edinburgh. They live in a world that must be so easy! They all refer to why he hasn't been unveiled yet and the comments range from "Scally just pay" or "Why don't he just resign". The first clearly Newport were aware of our recent payout and was holding out for a big payday but for a manager with not long left on his contract who wanted to move away (assumption) that was never going to happen. Most seem to be arguing the second point. Here he is still under contract who simply resigns and starts a new job. Whilst that might work in the real world it hardly does in football. Bradley Dack has just signed a longer deal but is courted by a top Championship club. Rather than them pay us any money he resigns and joins the new club. I presume they would be perfectly happy with this?

What sort of guy resigns from a club in early February to go and join another club, leaving his old club up the creek, bit of a wishy washy one as far as I am concerned, one I don't think I honestly feel very confident about, I wonder how long it will be before he does the same to GFC ??
Great we have got a manager, think Scally would have done better keeping the gang of four leading us this season, then picked one of them to manage the Gills.
I know if I was one of those four my days backing GFC would be over, yeah might seem hot headed but I think they deserved a crack at running the show.
Anyway we have got a new manager, good luck to him, hope everything goes well , get us back into the Championship next season and I will give him the love of my life Miss Fanny Mulligan as a gift.
