Full strength squad?

Postby Garawa » Fri Aug 28, 2015 2:24 pm

Excluding Cody, a few players have only played 90 minutes or less so far this season and with such a good start, are we already at full strength or where would these returning players fit back into the side?

Max Ehmer
Doug Loft
Aaron Morris
Emmanuel Osadebe
Glenn Morris

Ehmer seems to be the back up and unless we go 3-5-2 again I can't see him getting in. Loft I can't see fitting at all. He is neither suitable as left or right midfield in my opinion and I can't see him displacing Wright or Houghton and nor a returning Morris either as he appeared the favoured choice at the start of the season. Osadebe impressed me in pre-season and against Sheff Utd and I can see his taking a place.

Nelson has been the biggest surprise for me. Seemingly out of the club he not only won a contract but cemented a starting place and that doesn't look like changing. Same can be said with Dickenson over Garmston.

I think, given the choice with the above players fit, not many would make the starting 11 but I could see it being:

Nelson
Jackson, Egan, Oshilaja, Dickenson
Morris
Houghton, Dack, Osadebe
McDonald, Norris

I can't remember a time when we haven't really urged key players back before, perhaps not even Cody!

I think once fully fit both Loft and Cody will come back in the side.Loft is captain so will probably take Hessenthaler`s place.Cody is likely to take Donnelly`s place upfront. It`s a good headache for Justin to have, and our bench yesterday looked really strong.
