Bywater is available to play in all games bar FA Cup matches so could feature in this match and I'm told he was released by West Ham under Pardew so may want to show him he was wrong!

I'm not so sure. I can't see there would be a great appetite for one of the longest trips on a Tuesday night in a cup competition the club has admitted is a distraction. Stupid really as it is their most likely route into Europe these days. I read a fanzone article of theirs that said what is the point in playing us let alone bothering to go and watch! If that is anything to go by it would be taken up by neutrals instead or handed back over for Gills fans to take up (time permitting).

Nearly all the seats have been sold in The Rainham End,Medway Stand, and Gordon Road stand. And two of the four blocks in the Brian Moore Stand have just about sold out.I can see us getting over 10,000.

Newcastle still have a lot of unsold tickets. They can now only sell them to fans who can pick up the tickets from the stadium so I think they will probably not sell out the away enclosure.

Doesnt surprise me. Long journey, tuesday night (a working night) for the 2nd round of the cup. None of the big clubs fans seem interested in the early rounds.

in 2011 Liverpool only got 22000 fans for a home tie against northampton town in the 2nd round, and there are examples at every premier league club from the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

They might be a Massive draw for us, but we are hardly noteworthy to them.

Lets give them a game to remember and then maybe they will remember us :)

Don't they have a bit of a soft spot for us after what we did to Sunderland? Thought they might like to join us because of it although if we beat them, I guess all that would be forgotten!

I think you have to be realistic Hari. Since the beating Sunderland thing

They have beaten Barcelona 3 0 at st james park, been in the champions league a few times, beat man utd 5 0, I really dont think we figure in their minds too much.

When I go to see them play in London (usually at West Ham or Arsenal) I talk to there fans and some of them remember us doing sunderland

I don't use The Online Ticketing Service very often.

But looking at the above link, The Medway Stand is almost sold out, there are very few tickets available in The Rainham End and the end blocks in The Gordon Road Stand are all still available, assuming that Newcastle United will sell there full ticket allocation then we could see a 10,000+ attendance.

I was surprised on Wednesday Morning though as there were no queue's at 9AM and I was able to buy eight tickets for The Newcastle United Game.

I do not know if this means they have sold out or not..............BUT

Tickets for the gillingham fixture is now closed to Newcastle fans. They are no longer selling them, so I am presuming they have sold out.

Good for us, loads more money

Thoughts on the game? What formation and Team should we play? Should we go for it,or Sit back and try and hit them on the counter attack?

Based on yesterday's showing I think no amount of tactics or formation would be able to overcome a side with players far superior to Barnsley's! I suppose the key difference is that we would be at home. I am hoping a noisy packed Priestfield and a L O N G journey for the visitors might give us an edge. I would say to the players just go and have fun and get a moment in the spot light as it will be about passion. I don't think Utd will have a great deal but class should tell but not if we have far greater passion ourselves. We didn't show any yesterday, perhaps too many had their mind on not getting injured for Tuesday and as we are expected to lose, there is no pressure if we do so just put on a show.

Personally, I think they will boss the game but we could sneak it 2-1 if we really go for it!
