Lidbid I've never understood season ticket "incentives". There should be 3 types in my book; a family one to bring youngsters etc, an away one for fans who attend away matches and a general one with money off merchandise, free programmes or drinks for example.

Garawa, How could the club finance incentives for away matches, the money for away tickets goes to the host club (I think there is a 5% handling fee for our club but only on advance sales not pay on the day) so giving incentives on away travel/tickets earns us nothing and only helps to line the coffers of our opponents.

Possibly not for away fans then but certainly the other two. Its a shame that we have such good away support that doesn't get more than a thank you whilst helping to make our competitors stronger by taking more to them than they bring to us lol.

It was good to see both sets of fans mingling at the end of the game. There was no hint of any bother that I saw until a Col fan cycled past us shouting 'you're not top any more'. My shouted response before I could stop myself of ' but you're still an ugly....' actually made both sets of fans laugh!

So Mr Lidbid as an Ambassador for Gillingham Football Club, you think that was the correct thing to say, out loud and with other people around , tut, tut, tut.?? I hope and pray that wonderful sweet delicate woman Mrs Lidbit had stayed home that day, she doesn't need to be exposed to hearing that sort of language on a day trip to Essex .
