So while I see most other Division One clubs are signing players who have all had league experience,either here or in Scotland, we have signed TWO who look as if they might be players,that is Charles- Cook and Parrett, and have bought back a guy who's past his sell by date in Fuller, and we have got rid of players who seemed to be exact clones of those guys.
Whats the saying of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result ?
So with a month to go and a weak pre- season in the offering, an almost exact copy of the team that struggled last year,I fear another long and unexciting season coming up , relegation staring us in the face as opposed to promotion, thanks Scally.

I guess its about focusing on the younger players who will will be here longer and replacing players who expect to play with ones who will be back up. Byrne looks like a machine since coming back and Reilly was a key target. Plenty of options joining them in midfield so hopefully we won't be relying on older players that are injury prone. List will be in there, so too will Bingham and Oldaker should be ready for a decent season. Not sure we have the defence sorted yet though.

Oh God this is going to be men v boys, I sure hope these kids have got their sling shots ready, Goliath in the form of Sunderland, Charlton, Barnsley and Portsmouth are going to be knocking on the door in a few weeks .
So lets see by the time these kids start playing first team football where could we be ?? Southern Counties East or hanging in there in the Evo -Stik Southern Division,ground sharing with Chatham, Priestfield would have been turned into an old folks home and Scally will be a happy man because the pay roll will only be a few hundred bucks a week.

To be fair though, the spine will be pretty strong - Ehmer & Zakuani, Bingham, Reilly & Byrne (who is now very beefy and strong), Parker, Eaves & Wilkinson. A bit of energy, flair and enthusiasm down the sides wouldn't go amiss.
