He plays the trombone and he has a big honker, oh well no ones perfect ? Seems a bit odd a kid that has played for Fulham ,come up through the Man Utd , kiddy winkle team , plays for the Welsh under 21's, can't get into a Norway or Sweden teams first squad, hope we did not pay to much for him, but I hope the kid goes on to have a great career with the Mighty Mighty Gills and takes us all the way to the Championship this next year.

Gills have signed young Winger/Striker Brennan Dickenson on a two year deal from Brighton. On paper the signing does not get you excited, but he will have been trained well at Brighton and he is another signing that is young that will get better.I think he has good potential to be a good winger, and will do ok for us.The Brighton fans rate him well, which is a good sign.

Hi Kentucky

I agree, when reading the profile I was far from excited. That said, I would much rather see us trying to bring in youngsters, who can be developed, have a hunger for the game, high fitness levels and ultimately could make us money in the future than a load of older pro's who are just dropping down the division collecting early pension payments.

Could do with an experianced defender mind you, but they dont exactly grow on trees. TODAY is the big day, today the 1st july is when most players contracts end, so should see lots of happenings over the next few days across all teams. Lets hope we have a couple of defenders we are keen on.

If you want a real forest fire of a rumour, I was told by my barber (and yes this part is a true story) that he saw Simeone Jackson down at the club the other day as well as Izale McCloud. Well we know McCloud joined Crawley, but it would be interesting. But hey what does a barber know??

lol Cadbury

It did make me laugh after the cut, I looked down on the floor and thought it had been snowing. Turns out it was just my hair :)

Ha ha. People moan about the rumours but it sure beats the hell out of berating the England team again! It helps to build the excitement for the new season. Talking of building the excitement, the club posted this on their Facebook page but I never saw it on the official site, how about this for getting the juices flowing!!!???? I haven't seen anything like this before from the club and I personally love it (plus it seems like the kit IS darker so I have gone from hating that to loving it)!!! New passion, new kit, new players..........can't wait!

That's a bit weird. That usually comes up if your not signed in and viewing as a guest but as you have posted that can't be right! Can you see the presentation evening photos in the Noircat forum? If you can than it has the same permissions and I will have to do some investigating!

One thing I can do on this board is browse it as if I were another user to test out the correct permissions (don't worry, I can only do it under my own account and can only see what you see on the board and not any private details that are stored safely in the database).

I was able to see the photo of Callum Davies, Danny Kedwell & Jake Hessenthaler. Are you still not able to see it? If so, it is not a board setting that is preventing it and might me a browser security setting your end perhaps.

So another signing comes in - Luke Norris, a forward, from Brentford arrives with a fee to be agreed (hope he is a bit better than the last forward from there we bought)!!!!

The signings aren't particularly big names but we seem to be getting more positions covered so we won't know until the friendlies what impact they will have. Does anyone know if Charlie Lee has found a club a club yet? I can see him not and us offering a cut price deal and I would be chuffed to bits with that!!!

With all these signings I hope the letters on the back of the shirts for those of us of a certain age to be able to identify everyone's name! Could take a while!

And another new signing

John Egan

There is a real trend appearing now. All young, players, all with potential and all hopefully hungry.

if Taylor can get these players playing as a team I see no reason as to why we cannot have a good season.

Really pleased with who we have signed so far, all of them seem to offer something.

So John Egan also joins today, an Irish Under-21 defender released by Sunderland. He makes it 8 new faces now, virtually an entire team and if they all do well, we may have a major problem in 2 years time when all their contracts come up for renewal at the same time!!!
