FA Cup

Just wondered what you guys and girls thought about a potential FA Cup run?

Is it better to beat Peston and hope for a monster 3rd round tie, with a potential fixture pile-up and injuries?? Or to take a defeat on the chin and thus allowing us to concentrate on the league alone?

Apart from the fact I have us going out in this round re Noircat league**, I wouldn`t be desparate with grief if we did go out next week (unless Preston draw Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea away ofcourse), but that is highly unlikely.

However, as the recent past suggests, we like playing Preston. I have an inclin that we may just cause an upset, be it on the day, or a replay.

** 41points and top of the league you know...
#Gloating outrageously. ;-)

Always enjoy a cup run, I do not think it interferes with the main aim of getting out of the cellar. Wish this tie against PNE was at home and not away. Hope we can bring them back to Priestfield and get a win, then get a nice pay day in the next round.

Let's go for a nice long run to at least the quarter finals!

Will Nelson miss this game now? If so, that seriously hampers our chances. I think when you are winning you always want another game to carry on winning. If you lose in the cup you have a chance to bounce back in the league. With the squad rotation we have seen, I don't think a fixture congestion problem is one to worry about.

I would rather he missed the cup match so that he was available for the league games!

Usually I would be desperate for us to go through, but with how we are doing in the League that is more of a priority. If we was struggling in the league I would be desperate for the win.I still want us to win but if I was offered a win against Preston or Rotherham I would choose Rotherham. The pressure will be off us and we can go there and attack them,we have nothing to lose and if we go out we can go back to the League which is going brilliantly.
