Doug Loft insists location had nothing to do with his decision to sign for Gillingham - although I am sure it was a major factor in why Doug Loft did sign for The Gills this summer.

I think he will want to show to the fans that he is here on merit rather than convenience. If it was based on club stature he might possibly have stayed where he was although there wouldn't be a lot in it. Our location sounded like the icing on the cake for him.
