Thumped, take away the penalty and we were well and truly thumbed. Look forward to reading Ms Fanny Mulligans report on the game, reading the scrolls this end seems we have no idea how to shoot, oh and our defending didn't seem to good either.
What happened to Nelson and Cody serious injuries ? Not good loosing two key players in one game. Not going to say anything, hell yes I am, we could not beat a bunch of tomato cans during the pre season by a hat full,WHICH WE SHOULD HAVE DONE, don't know why I thought it would be any different now, and if anyone comes on here and tells me were building for the future I swear I will spit, or maybe spit and then swear.
Oh well I guess we can only go up, 3 points next week or Taylor's gone, Hessy the new manager, lol. Thought I would say it first, lol.

Embarrassing, awful, schoolboy football. Our only class attacker crocked. No comfort to be gained from this at all.

Too many basic errors in defence and absolutely no offering up front in the second half - on a positive note the new kit looks good

I enjoyed the first 42 mins...thought we played really well and up to that point despite all their poccession I didn't think we looked in any danger! Shows that football is hard to predict!!
Enjoyed a couple of hours in the company of Cadburyman!

I'm not too concerned by the score, these games happen so hopefully that is ours out of the way and with a new side still yet to really all play together it was more likely to happen now rather than later. A lot of people are mentioning the 3 goals in 5 minutes that transformed the game but if Brazil can suffer it then we certainly can!
What I concerns me most however (apart from the injuries to Nelson and Cody) is that we conceded from 3 set pieces. It was like all of our defensive frailties from last season have been ignored and made worse! We cannot allow goals like that to be scored so easily. Perhaps I am being harsh as 2 of them resulted in own goals that may have concluded the game at 2-2 instead.
Another concern was the formation. The Gills said we were a straight 4-4-2 with Loft on the left and he that couldn't get into the game. It answered one query about which players were to be dropped and it wasn't Hessy or Kedwell! Instead it was the 2 players you would expect to be featuring on that left hand side. A bit odd given that we supposedly had a fully fit squad (outside the defence). If however it was a 4-2-3-1 formation with Loft, Kedwell and McGlashan behind Cody then that makes perfect sense and was one option I thought we would go for. This was how it looked on the TV for the build up to Cody's opener, whether we played like that before the goal I don't know.

Really? Were people watching the same game as me? MK Dons were a disgustingly dirty side and we were given no protection from the ref. McGlashen was taken out at least 5 times in the first half. They had no answer to the pace of our attack. Their keeper should have been off for bringing McDonald down. We were really unlucky to concede the own goal before half time. Cody then getting cropped right at the start of the 2nd half (a cynic would say that Robinson had told his players to take Cody out at half time!) really afected our players. How their player didn't get booked, which would have been his 2nd card and sending off, is beyond me! Until then, we had good shape and MK, although having a lot of possession as you'd expect from the home team, really did'nt offer much of a threat. Losing Nelson and McDonald really affected us. The replacement keeper looked ok, but he certainly does'nt marshall his defence like Nelson and German really looked out of his depth when he came on.
Plus side, Egan and Hause looked good. Down side, Loft looked laboured and unfit.
Nice ground (still in Bletchley I note) and the away stewards and ticket staff were friendly but I still loathe the horrible smug plastic fans and franchise club.
