9th MK Dons 4 - 2 Gillingham (League)
12th Yeovil Town 1 - 2 Gillingham (Capital One Cup First Round)
16th Gillingham 2 - 0 Yeovil Town (League)
19th Gillingham V Swindon Town (League)
23rd Barnsley V Gillingham (League)
26th Gillingham V Newcastle United (Capital One Cup Second Round)
30th Gillingham V Crewe Alexandra (League)

And after The Crewe Alexandra Game we play Stevenage away in The Football League Trophy.

Is it just me or do we seem to start The New Football League Season all guns blazing and cram so many fixtures into the first month of the season, why cannot some of the mid-week Tuesday Night League Games be added on towards the end of the season and The Football League Season ends on May The 16th and not May The 2nd ???

We are playing Saturday / Tuesday for four consecutive weeks and in the three matches we have played so far we have suffered injuries to Jermaine McGlashan, Stuart Nelson, Cody McDonald, Josh Hare and Joe Martin, Amine Linganzi always appears to be injured and Brennan Dickenson took a knock in our League Cup win against Yeovil Town was OK to play as sub in our league game at the weekend.

And why only two weeks before The First and Second Round of The Capital One Cup, couldn't there be a bit of a longer gap between The First and Second Round, how was the competition organized when it was two legged ???

Maybe it is because of The World Cup we seem to have a shorter season, if we do well in the cup competitions then Gillingham could be playing Saturday / Tuesday for every single week of the season.

I would personally make the season longer and move 1 - 2 mid-week league games to a Saturday Afternoon.

The season started a week later this season due to the World Cup which therefore lost 2 matches which is a lot to make up in a month! In reality we could easily have started the season with the League Cup match like we did the season before last as most teams at that stage would have had very few players involved. That's why there's only 2 weeks instead of the 3 and an extra Tuesday night to fit in the other league match.

All this for 1 week, imagine a mid season break or a 5 week lay off for a Qatar World Cup!!!!
