One Quote in the above article really does stand out.....

Dack has now started Gills’ last four games.

“I was confident that Bradley and Jake (Hessenthaler) would get more chances this year than last,” said Taylor.

“I think players pick the team themselves, I honestly do; it’s down to them. If they play well they are on the teamsheet.”

If we're going to build the team around Bradley Dack and Jake Hessenthaler then we have got to get that midfield balance right as Dack likes to venture further forward, but he looks like the player who we will sell on for more money especially if Bradley Dack keeps scoring goals like he did against Crewe Alexandra on Saturday (and the one he scored against Tranmere Rovers last season) - good thing we offered Bradley Dack and Jake Hessenthaler four year contract extensions because we don't have to accept the first offer that comes along for those two.

Central midfield looks really strong with Dack, Hessenthaler, Morris, Loft, Pritchard and McKain and Davies can play there as well, Linganzi just looks unlikely to be fully fit or put together a run of matches to show us what he can really do.

Yeah when Taylor handed Dack, and Hessenthaler four year deals he wanted to build the Team around them.I have been impressed with both players so far this season.I hope they can get even better, and will play together for seasons to come.We have the security of them both being on long contracts.

I guess the 3-5-2 formation facilitates these players otherwise it is hard to see how they might all fit in. I guess ordinarily it would be Dack, Loft, Hessenthaler, Morris and McGlashan across that midfield but I'm not sure Peter Taylor knows himself because of the injuries!

I have just seen this article on The Independent Website about Jake Hessenthaler talking about his football career at Gillingham and how much of a influence Andy has had on his playing career to date so far - it's also scary to think about that Peter Taylor has managed Andy Hessenthaler and Jake Hessenthaler through there playing career's.
