I have voted for a Striker,as I feel we lack a player like Bayo and Kedwell when Kedwell is injured.Norris is young, and German is not the answer I feel,so Taylor may need to bring in another Striker anyway.
Noircat Premier League Champion 2007,and 2014.Noircat FA Cup (Runner Up 2014).Promoted to the Premier League (Runner Up 2017,and 2020 in the Championship).

If Danny Kedwell is going to be out for a long time then I would look to sign a target-man who can hold the ball up and be just as much of a nuisance to opposition defenders in the same-way Danny Kedwell puts himself about, relying on Luke Norris, Antonio German and Cody McDonald isn't going to be enough, we need some who can offer Gillingham some physical presence in the final third.

I am very confused fanny; in all your early season team predictions you had no starting place for Kedwell, now replacing him is a major issue?

It's true that 4.2.3.1 is my preferred formation, because that's the formation where we can get Dack, Loft, Morris, Hessenthaler and McGlashan into the starting eleven and with Dickenson, Linganzi, McKain and Davies not mentioned. then Gillingham have got plenty of options who can play in midfield.

But if we played the same system and same personal week in, week out then Gillingham start to become predictable so we always need 2-3 systems that we can play comfortably, and without Danny Kedwell, we're relying on Antonio German, Luke Norris and Cody McDonald and on the rare occasions where Gillingham do line up with two up-front, we don't have much on the bench if one striker gets replaced with another.

Also without Kedwell we have not got anyone who can be considered to be a target-man / physical centre forward and we defiantly missed Danny Kedwell's physicality last Friday Night, of course if Danny Kedwell is OK to play then we don't need to replace him, but if Danny Kedwell is going to be out for a while then we are going to need to sign a replacement.

FOC can I introduce you to the notion of personal pronouns eg 'he' and possessive pronouns such as 'his' ? Master these and life would be far easier for all of us.

But this isn't an English lesson Rimshot. Do you not remember the intellect of some of the posters that were present on the old site? How they had the intelligence to even switch on the PC I don't know.

No, but It would cut the Fan's workload in half and make reading his posts a lot more enjoyable.
