What's Happened to Matt Fish

Postby fan_of_mulligan » Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:11 pm

What's happened to Matt Fish, in the last three matches we have seen Callum Davies and Josh Pritchard play at right back against Oldham Athletic and Coventry City and Gavin Hoyte and Josh Pritchard played right back against Stevenage (Josh Pritchard moved to right back after Gavin Hoyte was sent off), Matt Fish was a unused sub for all three matches so is Matt Fish not fully fit and we're not risking him for the first team until he recovers from his injury.

Or has Peter Taylor seen enough from Matt Fish to suggest that Matt Fish won't be able to cut it for Gillingham in League One ???

I wondered the same Saturday. I haven't really seen him do anything wrong so can't see him being dropped especially with Davies coming back into the fray having not really been wanted by either Taylor or Allen.

Fish has just returned from a serious injury,so he will be nowhere near the level he was in League 2.I think it is too early to judge whether Fish can make the step up to League one,and he will need a run of games to show us.I hope Fish can get his confidence back and show us that he can play in League one.
