We`re back at Priestfield on Saturday for a big game for both sides at the bottom of the Table. We sit joint bottom of the Table, while Orient are surprisingly in 20th place after their great season last season. Both sides will be in confident mood after winning their JPT Games this week.I`m hoping our win at Crawley will be the start of our recovery.
Gills Line up? Martin is suspended,so could Loft drop back to LB? Hause is away on England U20 Duty,so Egan and Legge will be the likely pairing.
Nelson
Hoyte,Egan,Legge,Loft
McGlashan,Doughty,Dack,Dickenson
Kedwell,McDonald

Think we get the three points this weekend with a 2-1 win, just feel it. This really is b***s to the wall time, too early in the season to call it a must win game I guess but it is pretty darn close.
Take out the Bristol City game and possibly the Chesterfield game and the other 6 or 7 games from now till the New Year starting with Orient on Saturday are games where we should be able to pick up points and lots of them , there all against lower half of the division teams so the opportunity is not going to get any better to secure our place in Division 1
Pretty sad when you realize we have only 3 wins and 5 draws from 16 games this season, time to pull up them there socks boys and lets make sure we climb to safety before the end of 2014

http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/mcdonald-place-under-threat-26951/Cody McDonald could face a battle to get back into Gillingham's starting eleven for tomorrow's match against Leyton Orient.

I would expect McDonald to start tomorrow, especially after he was rested in mid-week.

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................
--------------------------------Nelson-------------------------------------
Hoyte--------------Legge----------------Egan-------------------Chicksen
---------------------Loft-----------------Doughty--------------------------
McGlashan-----------------------------------------------------------Dack
-----------------McDonald---------------Kedwell--------------------------
Subs: Bywater (GK), Fish, Hessenthaler, Pritchard, Linganzi, Dickenson, Norris
After there impressive sub appearances against Crawley Town on Tuesday Night, both Jermaine McGlashan and Bradley Dack have to start against Leyton Orient tomorrow because those two really did change the game in our favour and McGlashan could of scored a hat-trick as well, Adam Chicksen, will take Joe Martin's spot at left back which means that Doug Loft and Michael Doughty will start together in the middle of midfield - I know that Jake Hessenthaler also impressed against Crawley Town in The Football League Trophy, but I cannot see Jake Hessenthaler starting now that we have signed Adam Chicksen, had either Doug Loft or Michael Doughty been forced to play at left back then Jake Hessenthaler would of probably played.
The defence really picks itself as Kortney Hause, Joe Martin and Callum Davies are all unlikely to make the squad, and Cody McDonald should play alongside Danny Kedwell up top, harsh on Brennan Dickenson who also played well on Tuesday Night, but Cody McDonald will be given the nod to start tomorrow, how long Cody McDonald remains in the starting eleven remains to be seen because Cody needs to work harder if he wants to continue as a regular starter.
Even though Gillingham V Leyton Orient is the closest match geographically as far as we are concerned, I can only see a 4,600 attendance for this game, neither side is doing particually well in the league and Leyton Orient don't really travel in huge numbers either, this really is a must win game, winning against Crawley Town in The Football League trophy was great but league wins is what we need to pull clear of the relegation zone - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!

Hopefully Tuesday will have got some hunger back however the weather and the early England kick-off may keep the numbers down a bit. I can't see Dack starting, I think there are issues with him which why he is being ignore somewhat.
Some facts for the game can be found over in the stats section or by clicking here:

After turning on the tv this morning to watch Premier League Football, (I forgot) to be greeted by an African Nations Cup game between Uganda and Ghana, with 50,000 of those dam horn things being blown and a nice gentleman commentator with a wonderful rich Ugandan /English accent,I would kill to get a chance to watch the Gills this morning, lol. How bad is the weather, wind, rain or snow ?
Oh well things look good for the rest of the day, the temp is a balmy 7 degrees below freezing so it's going to be a start drinking when the pubs open, oh look pubs open in England , beer woman ,and make it snappy.
So many games on ,every Mexican station showing games, South Africa v Sudan, Serbia and Dinamarca, France playing Albania, followed by Egypt and Senegal and someone called Inglaterra playing someone called Eslovenie, what a day we have lined up.
GO GILLS, thump Orient and lets get out of the cellar.

Well it was certainly a classic match to listen to,and must have been one of those I was there moments for fans. The first half didn`t sound great and Kedwell`s penalty miss being the best chance of the half. When Orient went ahead through a Penalty I thought it was going to be another defeat.Credit to the Team for fighting back twice after conceding.Legge really stepped up to the plate scoring two headers, and when Orient scored in the 94th minute I thought that was it 2-2.Thankfully one of the Orient fans came on to the pitch which added a few minutes on and Cody who came off the bench scored a volley to send Priestfield mental. It sounded loud listening,I wish I was there! Two wins in a week for us in the JPT,and our first League win in 9 games. It was also our first win on a Saturday since the 30th August.Hopefully this is the start of our recovery.
