Gills are back on the road again this Saturday,as we travel to Bradford. We go into this game off the back of two wins in all competitions. The win at Crawley was important to end the losing run,and book our Area Semi-Final place in the JPT.And the late...late win against Leyton Orient secured a very important League win against a fellow struggling side.Bradford have also won their last two games in all Competitions. They beat Halifax away in the FA Cup first round, and then they beat Preston 1-2 away in the League.I`m expecting a tough game, and would take a point up there to carry on the unbeaten run.
What Gills Team would you play? Joe Martin is still suspended, and Doughty will also miss the game after getting sent off last week.

http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/bradford-trip-can-inspire-us-27298/Manager Peter Taylor hopes his Gillingham team will shine on the big stage, The Gills travel to Bradford, who were playing Premier League football just 14 years ago, on Saturday.
http://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/sport/bradford-support-a-boost-for-27294/A trip to Bradford City will evoke painful memories for Gills defender John Egan, It is two years to the day since he suffered an horrific leg break while on loan with the Bantams.

I think Gillingham will line up as follows.......................
--------------------------------Nelson-------------------------------------
Hoyte--------------Legge----------------Egan-------------------Chicksen
-----------------Hessenthaler------------Loft----------------------------
McGlashan-------------------Linganzi--------------------------Dickenson
-------------------------------Kedwell------------------------------------
Subs: G.Morris (GK), Hause, Pritchard, Dack, Norris, McDonald, German
With Kortney Hause back and available for selection I am hoping that Peter Taylor doesn't go for the 3.5.2 / 5.3.2 system, the last two matches against Bristol City and Fleetwood Town have seen this system fail and I rather see Gillingham pack the midfield rather then packing the defence, also I don't see either McGlashan or Dickenson starting in this formation and we need both of these two starting so that they can use there pace to get in and behind Bradford City's defence.
The back five picks itself and I would like to see Amine Linganzi playing as a supporting striker behind Danny Kedwell, last week against Leyton Orient we had Michael Doughty, Doug Loft and Jake Hessenthaler all playing in-front of the back four and I would much prefer it if Jake Hessenthaler and Doug Loft played in-front of the back four and Amine Linganzi played behind Danny Kedwell, we could play Bradley Dack in this position behind Danny Kedwell, but I think Amine Linganzi's physical presence can cause Bradford's defence a lot of problems.
This means that Cody McDonald will be named among the subs again, I think Peter Taylor needs to keep Cody McDonald motivated, should Cody McDonald score from the bench tomorrow then I would start him the following week, I know he scored the winner last weekend, but in recent weeks Cody McDonald hasn't been his usual self and I think naming Cody among the sub again might give him a kick up the backside to try and earn his spot back in the starting eleven again.
Four of us are going up via car tomorrow and it will only be £18 to Bradford City and back - although it means another early start as we leave from Rainham at 7AM, hopefully we come back from Bradford City with all three points - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!

Another point in the bag, well done the Gills,at least were moving in the right direction, UP. Shame we dug ourselves into such a deep hole,or by now we could be a top 10 team if a few things had gone our way.
I guess soon as well as GF and GA there will be a column, GA scored by Gillingham players, seems we have had a few this year already.
Anyway onward and upwards, lets keep the points coming in. Seems a shame that we seem to only play hard in the last ten minutes, and score scruffy goals, I honestly think GFC is better than that.
Anyone listen or go to the match, report please (500 words or less would be appreciated) thank you.

I listened to the game, and it seemed an even game in the first half. Both sides had goals ruled out for being offside. The second half sounded like Bradford were the better Team. But we seem to have some good chances ourselves in the game and a draw is something we deserved.I like that we have the character to keep going until the end.Until our late goal we were in the bottom four,so this point keeps our heads above water and we`re unbeaten in three in all Competitions now.The goal was given to German, but looking at the highlights you can see McGlashan is the one to get the last touch. He also says on his Twitter that was his goal.
Port Vale up next at home, and it is important we get three points.

We are getting a much more even share of the games now, some evidence that Taylor is changing tactics. Happy to settle for a point away to anyone.

And all these late goals as well. 4 from 18 goals at the start of the season came in the final THIRD of the match but 7 of the last 9 have been scored after 60 minutes suggesting we are staying in the game a lot more. Totally stopped scoring in the first though but hey ho! I still feel it was a massive confidence crisis from the players and that win from being behind in the JPT helped give them some confidence. Suddenly we don't look totally out of it when losing in the 80+ minutes and go a few games unbeaten can help erase the long winless run. Better to go on a positive run now than go on a winless run, let's hope that spell was our jittery phase and it's passed.
