Kedwell now Fish ,where is all the money coming from at Ebbsfleet, I thought they were owned by members paying a couple of hundred bucks a year and 3/4 of the original people who signed on to own the team dropped out ,am I wrong??
Nice to hear on the BBC radio interview Hessy thinks that the four man management is working, really, NO I MEAN REALLY!!!!, not much else you can say is there??

They are signing players with good league experience like crazy at the moment. Daft thing is they said they would build gradually and not throw money at it. The manager did accordingly and they did OK. He leaves and the new bloke comes in and suddenly it is money no object!!! Why? This so often happens and you have to ask why the previous manager wasn't supported as much. Good luck to Fish and Kedwell, they will do very well indeed there.

But the same thing happened at Man Utd, poor old Moyes, he goes in there spends a year scouting players,he hasn't got the **ll's to pull the trigger and no one helps him out, in comes old Gloggy van Gaal, brings in the players Moyes has been scouting and now he is a hero getting them to 3rd in the table.
Where have Ebbsfleet got the money from I thought they had serious cash problems with people not renewing their shares each year??

I always thought that either in this January Transfer Window or in the summer we needed to push Danny Kedwell further down the striker pecking order list at Gillingham and sign better quality strikers to be our first choice strike-force, that left Danny Kedwell with two options 1. Stay at Gillingham and fight for his place in the match day squad and make do with the sub appearances he was making against Port Vale or 2. decide that his future lies away from Priestfield Stadium and play competitive first team football at another football club - and Danny Kedwell has chosen the latter, and you can never moan or complain about a player making a footballing decision and moving to get more game-time elsewhere.

I also heard rumours suggesting that Danny Kedwell was high maintenance and took up too much valuable time on the training ground when both Martin Allen and Peter Taylor both wanted to work on team shape, tactics and formations, Kedwell was a difficult player to manage for both manager's and there was always a rumour about him leaving, or a suggestion that Peter Taylor was trying to change our style of play and sign players with sell on potential and it appeared that Danny Kewell didn't fit into either criteria.

I think the timing of Danny Kedwell's departure and giving John Marquis The Number Nine Shirt does leave a bad taste in the mouth and the club have done this without any levels of class or dignity, I think that's what hurts the most about Danny Kedwell rather then the actual decision that Danny Kedwell has left Gillingham Football Club.

With Hindsight in mind we should of given Adebayo Akinfenwa a two year contract extension and got rid of Danny Kedwell last summer, Adebayo Akinfenwa has such a great understanding with Cody McDonald, he had the best goals to minutes ratio of our three strikers last season and I think it would of been better for Gillingham Football Club had we made that decision last summer, but the way we have done it with no manager and giving John Marquis Number Nine is what disappoints me the most.

Would not surprise me if Ebbsfleet are in the football league in 2 seasons! Building of the first of four new stands about to start, signing players with not just plenty of league experience, but non league too! The owner owns London Capital which is building Paramount Park at Swanscombe, he is a billionaire and on top of that he is a cousin of the owner of Manchester City!

We hear that every year though and it never happens. Last season it was Maidstone that was going to take the non-league by storm, this season started with Margate being the side everyone expected great things from. A month or two ago it was Dover and now it's Ebbsfleet's turn. I guess we will find out in a couple of years time!

I still don't get it though. The chairman said on TV he wouldn't splash the cash, they would do it sustainably and in a controlled manner. Their last manager had to deal with these issues and was quite restrained but Jamie Day can spend whatever he likes it seems. Even that seems odd, if money IS no object then why go for a manager of his calibre rather than one from higher? He must have been aware of the sudden change so suddenly leave his post to join them!
