The official website.

Postby lidbid46 » Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:39 am

Does anyone find the official website any use anymore? Apart from occasionally using the wall to follow away games I can rarely find anything to look at. Compared to other clubs our site seems almost disused. Thank goodness for our forum and twitter; without them I would feel completely uninformed about our club.

No years ago the official site would be the first place I would check Gills news. Now I find Facebook,Twitter, and Kentonline are the quickest places to find Breaking Gills news.

I think it is a fantastic up to date informative site, which everyone should read the second they turn their computers or time machines on.
GOOOOOOD GOD look at this on the Official Website , we've just fired Peter Taylor, jezz whats next ??
My bet is we have a new manager in place before the week is out, I KNOW Mr Scally, the Prince of the Desert would not leave us withour amanager at this crucial time of the season.

Breaking news it has never been good for as the club can only announce once it is done otherwise there could be a lot of trouble. For general news it is behind the rest and that is a lot down to the new FLi contract. Many clubs wanted to keep the old sites and they were more usable but it isn't very user friendly which doesn't help and their decision to migrate none of the old articles was a massive faux par. This has nothing to do with the club by the way but no history is odd, the match centre during each match only goes back 2 years and will be utterly pointless for another decade at least!

Twitter to update? Only if you want what you think to be available to every cowardly troll out there. Kent on Line, supercilious witch owned paper is all about the Gallagher experience and how she spends the family money. I'll come on here to find out what's going on, but can't read the he kicked this, he kicked that reports as they never mention the crowd and the atmosphere!

I think The Official Website is dreadful and normally if I want to buy away tickets, I would ask which away tickets are available in the Ticket Office before Gillingham play at home on the same-day, and I would get my tickets for the up and coming matches long before this information is on The Gillingham Website.

For The Dartford Home Game in The Kent Senior Cup, I had to go on The Dartford Website to find out when the game was on, and when I watched Gillingham Train down at the training ground, Me and a few other Gillingham Supporters mentioned to Peter Taylor about this - and Peter Taylor said he was going to speak to the media department to find out what is going on.

It does feel like you have to be your own detective when it comes to finding out about Gillingham Information, and the lack of information on The Official Website only makes a negative season feel more frustrating.

I gave up on the site long ago after I had spent, literally, hours trying to buy one of the 'VIP' seats in the Bobby Moore lounge for the Shrewsbury play-off final. Bearing in mind I was shelling out £200 you would have thought I was trying to subvert the club's systems in the way I was treated. Nothing of the website's so-called functionality worked and after desperate tactics, including a call to the 'Commercial Manager' at GFC while pretending to be calling from Wembley, ( I couldn't actually speak to anyone by any other method) they eventually took my payment. Even then i din't receive the tickets and had to present myself at the Wembley ticket office on the day. Finally got my admission pass 20 mins before kick off

I think the media team think the same as well!
