Team changes (summer 2015)

So the players who are out of contract will be told Tuesday who will be kept or let go. Joe Martin has already announced today he has left so I can't see that it leaves many left after Fish, German and Linganzi departed earlier. I make it the only players still to be decided are Leon Legge and Glenn Morris! Not much to decide upon! However a few other names appear to be cropping up on the list including Stuart Nelson so what the futures of those players are is a mystery unless they have a club lined up elsewhere.

If you hear any news list it here.

Joe Martin basically said after the game yesterday that he looks to be going,so it was no surprise to read he has gone today. He wasn`t the best LB in the world, but he always gave his best and he was a loyal servant. His free-kicks wouldn`t have looked out of place in the Premier League.I`m sure a good club will sign him up.

Sorry ,don't think Martin is getting signed on his ability to take a free kick, he will be off to a Second Division club.
I always thought highly of Nelson, as for Marquis why do I have this horrible half the glass empty feeling that once signed he is going to revert back to his old lazy ways , but somehow I don't think were going to get the opportunity to sign him anyway, I think a club in the Championship will nab him, I hope I am wrong in both cases, I would like him to stay here and score 20 goals next year, if were seriously talking promotion we need to knock in 70 plus goals.

I thought The Team Changes Thread can double up as a Release / Retained Players Thread.

Leon Legge believes he has done enough to prove he still deserves to be playing League 1 football, with or without Gillingham.

Of the players remaining who are out of contract in the summer (Glenn Morris, Gavin Hoyte, Leon Legge, Joe Martin and Danny Galbraith), if you were to name one of the five who defiantly deserve to stay at Gillingham Football Club then you have to say that Leon Legge is the player who defiantly deserves to stay at Gillingham Football Club - well that is my own personal opinion anyway.

Joe Martin looks to have played his final game for Gillingham.

The out-of-contract defender tweeted on Monday afternoon wishing the club all the best for the future and saying he was looking to forward to a new challenge.

I think Legge has done enough to earn a new deal.Edinburgh likes to play with three CB`s so he may look to keep Legge. The performance from him have been really good.

Gills have signed young winger Elliott List who came through at Crystal Palace on a one year deal.He will most likely be in the Development side next season.

A surprise to see Legge go especially after some impressive performances until the end of the season.I guess that is Football for you.I`m not surprised about the others looking at the Team selection of late.
