Great news, great achievement, and so many people happy on here that we got promoted from Division Two.
My question is WHY WERE WE IN DIVISION TWO IN THE FIRST PLACE ?

Jepson spent a fortune on past it players, and it was a just a bit too late for Stimson to keep us up that year.

Stimson couldn't have kept a kite up on a windy day; just where is he now??

He is at Thurrock with Simon King.To be fair to Stimson that season we were absolutely rubbish losing to Swindon 5-0,and Southend 3-0 which cost Jepson his job.Stimson`s first game was away to the would be Champions Swansea City which we drew 1-1.If he had come in from the start that season we would have stayed up,as we turned it around and only went down on the last day at Leeds. The season we came back up the home form was the best in League one, better than Leeds,Southampton, and Norwich. The pathetic away form was what relegated us.The 3-0 crumbling performance at Wycombe which relegated us summed up our home form.At home we were a completely different side. The away form had to be down to Stimson though as he continued that losing trend away at Barnet, which also got him the sack.

So glad Southend got promoted, those memories of the last time Wycombe were in League 1 was too much to bear!
