Thoughts on Osadebe?

He was labelled as one for the future but he made a big impression and found a place in the side from the off. A mix of an average performance and returning players meant he dropped out the side but he had a great game Saturday. For those that haven't seen it you must catch it on You Tube as it won most people's goal of the day.

I was impressed at how the ball sticks to his feet and players just cant get the ball off him. For the goal he had 3 defenders around him (OK they looked very tired but he didn't!) and yet the ball stayed in his possession. Even when drifting wide he managed to nutmeg the defender and slot it past the keeper at a very tight angle. It could easily have been his second of the game. A lot are unsure about him. I thinks its been years since I saw a player that kept possession like he does!

And a call up for the Irish U21s - perhaps it should be O'Sadebe to be sure

Well done to Osadebe on his U21 call up for the Republic of Ireland. It must be a whirl wind for him as he was playing college football last year.

His pedigree is there for all to see. We have several players now who are exciting to watch even if things go wrong for them. Makes a change from the predictable more one dimensional players we have watched for the last couple of years.

I fully expected Osadebe to go into the youth Team for the majority of the season with him young and experienced.I have been impressed by him as he has not looked out of place for the majority of games. The goal v Bury shows his confidence. He will make mistakes as he is not the finished article, but i`m pleased with what I have seen so far.
