Points in the bag 58, ten away games left, the way we play that must accounts for at least 15 points, seven home games, say 12 points, total for the season, 85 points, that should be good enough to see us go up with an automatic spot even if it is in third place.
Well done Gills, now cancel all home games, play away games only and we will be promoted by the end of February.

Reads like accurate math to me Gillsfan. Top marks mate.

Appears Nelson had a great game again. Won the game from a 'lofted forward ball' apparently.

Sorry to state the obvious, but feeling far more optomistic than at 2200hrs last Monday, even if we were fortunate today as reports suggest.

No problem 87 points for us
In 1995-6 we were well clear in Jan and I think we had a run of 10 games with only one win, so I expect things to turn around now.
I was at Fulham as we went up in 96, at Wembley twice for promotions, where will we have to go this time?
Away at Cheltenham would be great for me in sunny Porthcawl.

All home and away points averaged out for the season (23 games each) would give us 90 points at the end.

You say we were fortunate but it sounds to me like we did to Bradford what Wycombe did to us and Sky said they had the perfect away performance!

Got to give the team and the manager their due; the away form is just outstanding. No problem with the manner of the win, we had 50% of the possession and took our chance. Well done the lads.

Just as importantly we are 9pts ahead of 4th place - that means we have to lose four and the chasing pack win all four and then some; its a good comfort zone to have but not one we should rely on
