Chicksen anyone?! Oshilaja wasn't as good in his second spell but a good preseason and he could be very dangerous, not sure on Cardiff's plans for him. El-Abd really shored up the defence and has more steel about him than our other defenders. He seems surplus to requirements at Bristol City so if Egan does go perhaps he would be a good replacement but would our defence them become too immobile with him and Ehmer at centre-half? Lennon was awful first time round and sensational last time. Out of the 3 he was the most impressive.

Defender Adam El-Abd has left Bristol City after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

My question to everyone on here is this, would you like to see Adam El-Abd sign for Gillingham on a permanent basis ???

100% yes,we had 5/6 clean sheets with him in defence. We have lacked real experience at the back, and he is a real talker who puts his body on the line as we saw at Sheffield Utd.

Gillingham are in talks with Cardiff City over bringing Deji Oshilaja back to the club.
