Well what do you know; Gills at Spurs in the ELC. Justin going back to a White Heart Lane. A few years ago I'd have struggled with my allegiance on this one, but not now! Come on Gills!

So you used to support Spurs Mr. Lidbit, is that what your saying ?? We don't like Spurs, and we don't like their supporters ,good job you came over to the dark side ,or by this time tomorrow morning you would have had a boy scout troop caping on your front lawn and using your bathroom 24/7.
By the way we also don't like Kim Jong Un, but thats another story, and next month Spurs supporters won't like us, when they field a weak side against little ole Gillingham and we go in there and do the Giant Killing act on them.
Should be a good pay day for Gillingham, my guess is a gate of around 25,000 -30,000 + ,and I assume it gets split 3 ways, GFC , THFC, and The League, so say 10,000 butts in the seats at what between 30 and 50 + pounds a seat so thats 10,000 x say 40 =FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS , is that right, hell Scally would have sold the team for less than this afternoon before the draw took place, excluding the ground of course.
GO GILLS.

A fantastic draw, and a chance for fans to go to WHL before they move.A great reward for beating Watford.

West Ham moved to the Olympic Stadium and put almost 60,000 in the ground against B'nmth, Arsenal built a new stadium, so where are Spurs moving to, is their stadium already being built ?
I think it is a great draw for Gills fans , should be a good few going to the game, all the way home last afternoon I had this horrible feeling it would be Northampton or Preston away, so happy with this draw,if it couldn't be Man U then Spurs will do,lol.
I don't think the EFL Cup does itself any favors waiting until the last game has been played before making the draw for the next round, how bush league is that, like it matters who Accrington or Burnley play in the next round to the rest of the country, come on the EFL Cup committee make this a trophy worth playing for,it almost seems most teams are happy to get knocked out and concentrate on the league.
GO GILLS

Always had a soft spot for Spurs since I saw their fantastic team at the start of the 60s with Greaves, Mackay, Brown, Marchi, Henry, White, Medwin, Jones, Smith. Also in 1969/70 spent two periods, each of six months, lodging just up the road from White Hart Lane in Edmonton. Had a couple of mates who were fanatical Spurs fans and went to several games.
Once got presented with a Sunday league cup winners medal by the legendary Spurs manger Bill Nicholson, his two nephews both played for my team.
Aah, happy days...having said all that I hope we give them a good stuffing !

After a fantastic result against Watford on Tuesday Night, the last thing we would have wanted was Accrington Stanley Away, so I am delighted that we have been rewarded with a glamour tie against Tottenham.
I am sure that this is precisely the draw that Justin Edinburgh wanted as he gets to go back to White Heart Lane, and I am looking forward to this cup tie as well.

Love it Rimshot, well done with the medal, Spurs were a great team in the 60's, pretty dam good now as well. I won a medal once with Chatham Amatures they gave it to us in a pub ,like 4 hours after the game, if God himself had given it to us we would not have known, lol.

Hey listen Kangaroo Jack, they was a proper team, played against teams like Wouldham and Tovil, and Meopham, teams with proper town names like Manchester and Liverpool and we were in some league, one that was like 147th in the football pyramid, and the great one...........ME, played inside right or right wing , thats back in the day when shirts were numbered one through eleven and you were in serious trouble if the guy that played the position before you weighed 210 lbs , because the shirt you got Saturday afternoon was 10 sizes too big lol. Only thing that was never to big was the shorts, filled them out just fine thank you, lol.
