Christmas Matches

The busy schedule is nearly here again,so it is time to see how many points we expect or want from the festive fixtures.

Bolton A: Monday 12th December- A very tough game live on TV against a side that are flying at the moment.Anything from the game will be seen as a bonus for us.I think a routine defeat is on the cards at the Reebok Stadium

MK Dons H: Saturday 17th December- One of the more winnable games of the Christmas period.MK Dons have started slow and are currently 19th in the league, which is why they sacked Karl Robinson. They have just brought in Hearts manager Robbie Neilson which is an ambitious move.I`d like to think we can win this game and go into Christmas day in a happy mood.

Peterborough A: Monday 26th December- Peterborough are doing a lot better than last season, they sit in the last play off place. It`s a tough game, but a place where if we play well we can nick a point from there.I`ll say we will hang on for a valuable point.

Millwall A: Friday 30th- Millwall away is always an exciting game for Gills fans, nothing can beat the 0-3 win at the Den last December which was the start of a very good Christmas period.Millwall are just outside of the play off places, but look like they`re finding their feet after an early struggle.I would be pleased with a point from the Den,but think they will just nick the points.

Oxford H: Monday 2nd January- The start of a New Year, and hopefully we can start the year with a home win.Oxford are currently level on points with us,and have started life in League one well.I`m going to say a tight win for Gills.

I have gone for 7/15 points which is an ok points total from a tough run of games. If we get any more then I think we would all be pleased.

Bolton game is the ( TUR) key to everything, a win there and we will be on our way to greatness, a point and I think Mr. Glasgow, the team, the supporters and me, would be happy, a 4-1 thumping under the lights and in front of the TV World, then I think it will be a piece of goal in our stocking for the rest of the Christmas holidays , (which reminds me , Mrs. L have you got a stocking I can borrow for the Christmas period ) ??
If we can hold it together over the Christmas period, we do get a break in January, out of the four games in the first month of the year only Sheffield looks really dangerous, we should be able to get points from Oxford, Oldham and the Shrews................GO GILLS.

Blimey Gillsfan, just how big are the presents you're expecting? If you hang one of Mrs L's stockings by the chimney you may well catch Santa's sack full and Santa as well plus maybe a couple of reindeer! One of her socks would be OK, but don't turn it inside out or you will be hoovering up the dry skin for days.

And if for any reason you think it is going to get any better under Edinboro then convince me please. I think Scally will let him see the year out and hope he can keep us up, then replace him in the summer, OR.......................... GET RID OF HIM NOW .lol, this is going nowhere fast.

You got your wish. I hope Scally has a plan for the future and hasnt just acted on impulse. As usual, the next appointment is crucial.

That's all we need a stroppy Sarf London Dwarf.
I hate all this celebrating someone losing their job when in reality he was doing about what can be expected with our Budget, negative support and lack of investment.

Scally gave Edinboro a free hand to bring in who he wanted this year, and when he did he dithered about, playing people out of position, not being able to change things at the half, sorry he should have been fired after last seasons debacle taking us from 2nd to 12th in a few short weeks .
It's not a mater of getting pleasure out of seeing a manager get fired , the joy comes in when that person is relieved of their duties and stops ruining the team for the thousands of people that support them.
