That's right, Millwall could be moving to Kent! Imagine a real local derby with a side a few miles away and it turns out to be Millwall of all teams! Now I would laugh normally at this but on this occasion I feel sorry for them but am also flabbergasted at the level of ineptitude by the council.

In a nutshell, the former boss of Lewisham BC set up an offshore property firm and employed current council employees onto its board. These are not councillors and therefore are not publicly elected. They are then using compulsory purchase orders to buy land for development and giving the land to this offshore firm to build on at a massive profit! It's not a shock that land owners have often made up the bulk of local councils but this takes it to a whole new level. It would potentially leave all the land around the Den in private hands (including land used by Millwall) and the ability to use the stadium would be difficult. It is stated their home since 1910 may have to be relocated to the North Kent coast or even Thanet. Quite shocking that this can happen in today's democratic society and even more shocking that the CEO of a run down part of London can earn more than the Prime Minister for working only 3 days a week!!

First of all whats wrong with a guy " only '' working three days a week and earning more than the Prime Minister,my bet is he does more in those three days than any Prime Minister does in three weeks, thats how he has become successful, jeezzz you Liberal do gooders are amazing, lol.
Secondly it's Millwall the home of everything thats bad about English Football, with a bit of luck they will move to say.................Lerwick in the Shetland Islands and become The L M Lions .
There thinking of moving to The Isle of Thanet, lol, well that sure as hell won't effect GFC, we don't seem to get more than 7 people at a game from anywhere outside a three mile radius from Priestfield.
Just think in a few years we could have Gillingham ,Dover, Millwall, Maidstone and Bromley all playing with us in the Second Division, Millwall of course will not be known as Millwall, they will go broke in about six weeks ground sharing with Margate and will be resurrected as Thanetwall United starting again in the Isthmian League, 7th stage of the football pyramid and I am sure by then we would have been down ,up, and back down again, ( I hear Hessy Snr. is next in line to be our manager,) so the 2nd division will be an almost all Kent affair, funny old world ain't it ??.

Dover look the most likely with them sitting in the top 6 at the moment.Maidstone probably need a few more seasons in the conference to challenge the top 6.I don`t see Millwall moving to Kent,and think it will be sorted eventually.I don`t like them,but no club should be told they may have to leave their area.I do think the FA would stop it as they will not want another MK Dons scenario on their hands again.

They wouldn't however they set a precedent with that. They then said under no circumstances will a club be allowed to move within the jurisdiction of another then promptly allowed West Ham to move to the Olympic stadium right under the noses of Leyton Orient! I fear if a club says their livelyhood is at stake and need to move and the FA block it, their record on 2 previous examples would surely see them lose any potential appeal or court case.
