What a hat-trick, possibly the most composed I have seen as a Gills fan. It takes some nerve, against your old club, to put away THREE penalties to overturn a 2-0 deficit to win it AND in front of the Rainham End where we have looked nervous at scoring lately due to pressure. This wasn't any old hat-trick of penalties:
- First Gills hat-trick since Jo Kuffour back in November 2011
- First penalty hat-trick in any of the top 4 divisions since 1957
- Fastest hat-trick of penalties of all time (have yet to read anything to contradict that).
Anyone else this he could closing in on player of the season? He was very average for half the season taking all the pressure of Jed's changes on his shoulders but lately has been superb.

Agreed. And why do all those idiots in the RE rush down to leap about behind the goal when we get a penalty? Makes no sense! I can sort of understand it when the opposition get one, but not when we do! Talk about added pressure!

The best hat-trick I have witnessed, and how calm was Wright! Before the Southend game none of us knew Wright was a penalty taker! Great to see the Club has been getting some good coverage recently from TV companies too because of the quick hat-trick of penalties.

Just bought myself a wonderful new machine called an Android Box by Pigfly, I can now watch channels from around the world LIVE ,probably 15 footie channels, cricket, golf, turned on Sky 1 at 6.15am my time (11.15 am yours) and there was some stupid woman doing a show called Sport AM or something, and they were holding some penalty taking competition, and who was taking the penalties..............................Josh Wright from GILLINGHAM F C.
I think he said he is suspended from todays Rochdale game ,does this mean he doesn't have to go to the game as a member of the team ,or was this show coming from a studio in the Manchester area, anyone know ?

I believe Sky still broadcast from the Middlesex area. I guess if he was suspended and had TV commitments he might be excused from the game.
