The training camp we do every year to Le Touquet has been cancelled, not sure why, just a decision of Ady's. Maybe thought the travelling was too much?

I hate the last games being played against a teams like Canvey Island, and Colchester , I guess the Gills will be playing a full starting squad in at least one of those games ,perfect way to get someone injured when Canvey Isle or Colchester have to show the world how good they are.

That was a crazy score. Sounds like we should had several more as well and were in total command. The last time we played there, we drew 1-1 and yes we played much lower opposition, but so have many sides without such a trouncing and after fans said they would seriously consider the side is worth getting fully behind if they hit a large scoreline against one of the sides, then I expect AP should have their support.
Goals from Oldaker, Wilkinson 2, Wright 2, Garmston, Eaves, Mbo, Nash (trialist), Hessenthaler and List was a pretty conclusive result. It looks like AP has built a side not necessarily of quality but of good players for each position rather than last seasons team of talented individuals who couldn't be fitted together to make a coherent team.

Now THATS the sort of score line we should seeing when we play teams like Chatham.
A draw against the Tractor Boys say 2-2, a win against the Belgium Waffle Fries and I will be buying a season ticket for sure. Last game I went to cost I think about 10 shillings to get in, so 23 home games at 10 shillings a pop , lets call it 12 quid for the season ticket, add a bit for inflation so I will probably send Mr Scally 15 pounds and I expect a front row seat, main stand ,opps for got to add tax so lets say,16 pounds 10 shillings. Lets go you GILLS.

Well it was near enough the perfect pre-season for us.Unbeaten, scoring plenty of goals, and hardly any conceded.Hopefully we take the confidence into next week.
