We play AFC Wimbledon in September so won't long to wait before we face him (and pretty much an entire former Gills side too)!! Got to get a few against us surely?! Not sure the guy signed from Yeovil is his replacement, more like Donnelly's so I expect another forward in through the door. Perhaps more wages available as I expect Cody was one of the higher earners?

Cody moves on and he is replaced with a "*striker" who has had about 10 clubs in 8 years and has scored just 20 goals in all that time.
Who is like me and is feeling totally underwhelmed?

Told you he was to old to go anywhere in the Prem or a top flight contender in Champ'ship, although I did think that maybe a team like Burton or Birmingham who could not hit a brick wall from five feet last year might take a chance with him, BUT WIMBLEDON, what the ****, who the hell would want to go there, well apart from C Mc ? Did we get anything for him ?
I fear this might show that everything is NOT A OK at Priestfield Stadium if the highest paid player on the team say's screw it I am out of here to go to Wimbledon ??

No fee Chicago as he turned down our offer for a better one being out of contract. Having lost Cody, losing Dack is a worry as they represented graft and a bit of quality in the side but I think we can replace Dack easier than we can Cody. We have players (as proved last season) that can play in Dack's role but when he is on form nobody comes close - and then we would be without him anyway as he would have been snapped up.

I`m more gutted by Cody leaving than with any other player.Gills were a perfect fit for him with him scoring 81 goals in 223 games for Gills.I was hoping he would chase down 100 goals next season, but it was not to be.To leave in the all time goalscorers for the club is something he can be proud of.
