Players In and Players Out

So released from the club are:

GREG CUNDLE
JAKE HESSENTHALER
LEE MARTIN
AARON MORRIS
FRANCK MOUSSA
RHYS MURPHY
SCOTT WAGSTAFF

Feel sorry for Morris but Moussa and Murphy offered us nothing whatsoever. Cundle has sadly had his chance and Hessy was a bit of a shock. But Martin and Wagstaff I'm really surprised at! I know Waggy has been a bit injury prone but has looked our most dangerous player. Martin was a bit hit or miss sometimes but was our most technical player. Shocked at those and would have tried to keep both - that is unless both had better deals lined up elsewhere or we knew they wouldn't accept any (cheap) deals we had on the table.

Gabriel Zakuani and Elliott List both sign their new 2-year deals.

Surprised and happy that Zakuani has signed his deal although I guess that means we lose him for the African Cup of Nations? Elliott List also re-signed today, a player who has had too many chances and I would have let go before those last 2 games. He needs to show more of that and prove it wasn't to secure a new deal when his contract expired.

I thought Hessy had another year. Also shocked he was let go when he had another year left.No surprises about Wagstaff, but was surprised Garmston was offered a new deal with his injuries.Hopefully he will sign and put them behind him.Delighted Zakuani has signed a new deal,he was the main one for me to sign.Pleased List has signed too,as he finished the season strongly.

I have no real knowledge of either of those 2 signings, however' looking at the forums of their previous clubs they could be good signings.
Midfield was a definite weakness last season with a lack of speed and creativity, hopefully both of these players could address this problem.

I hate to say this but I think the guys we are signing are not very bright, either that or who ever does the interviewing is one good B/S er. They all seem to think Gillingham FC are a good solid team, a club with ambition, hahahaha, don't any of these guys know this is GILLINGHAM FC, the team that plays in Kent not the one that plays in Dorset.
Just kidding, wish we could actually sign a player or two from a division higher than the one were in, seems were not really going forward very quickly, staying pretty static in fact.
