Fleetwood Away!

Postby theprcod » Mon Mar 25, 2013 1:11 pm

Hi Gills fans!

Big game next weekend at Highbury, I'm sure a number of you are travelling for the weekend on the Fylde Coast! Be interesting to see how many you bring - close on 500 sold so far I believe?

Gills fans are welcome to join 'The Cod Army' next Saturday in Jims Sports Bar prior to the game it opens at 12pm with a capacity of up to 350. It's a fantastic bar with big screens all over the place and LIVE football on show throughout the day and families and away fans always made welcome. Drinks promotions for happy hours between 12.30pm - 1.30pm and 5.30pm - 6.30pm are also available on the day. Here's some info http://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/venue-hi ... ports-bar/

We have enjoyed a great first season in the Football League and have an outside chance but we would have to win every game until the end of the season to get in the play offs! You have a had a great season and look set to be champs elect so it should be a cracker ...

Cheers

THE PR COD!

Thanks for the invitation Mr. Cod, out of intrest how far are you from Manchester Airport? It's becoming a real fishy week for the Gills. Our chairman bought the whole of the Accrington Stanley travelling supporters club fish and chips this weekend, nice to see England's soccer fans can be human towards each other, unlike in years gone by.
Glad your having fun now your playing with the "big boys ", hope you get out of this division real soon, trust me after a 100 years in the 4th or should I say 2nd division it does all get a bit boring, think we have played Port Vale now like 374 times , and thats just in my life time, probably 632 times in Lidbits lifetime.
By this time next year if your not challenging for promotion the hordes will be screaming for a change of manager, new ownership, a new 80,000 seat stadium and asking why your not playing Real Madrid in the finals of the European Cup, (dam fickle these fans) so enjoy the ride while you can, and I hope you take our place in Division One next year, as we go back to back and get promoted to the Championship.

Chicago, you said "fishy" and yet didn't mention Matt Fish's winner on Saturday!!

Thanks for the post PR COD! It could be a big weekend for us with the slight ability to be promoted on Monday. Some big games though coming up, avoid defeat and I think we will be there but lose a couple.........well, things get a little twitchy! Its been very much a case of not losing in away games of late, and I would take a dull 0-0 all day long!

Good to see you doing well, was shocked when your manager was sacked as I believed it was incredibly ambitious to have suggested he had under-achieved! I think that led to slight drop in form you had. That said the league table can be ripped up now! The few sides who cannot make play-offs or be relegated will possibly lose whilst the rest, whether at the top of the league or bottom, are quite capable of securing wins. The winners at the end of the season will be the ones who lost the least!!!! All the best.
