The Gills have just announced that Peter Taylor will stay on as manager until the end of the season. Think that was always the plan although after recent performances that won't go down too well. Personally I have seen players be more attack minded and keep swopping about can't be good for the side at all so perhaps it was the right decision. Two crucial games coming against sides within a win of us in the league so he can't afford any more slip ups!

We all knew it was going to be Taylor really. The rumoured sightings weeks before Allen left, and the interim role.Like I said in another thread I was unsure about Taylor being Manager after witnessing that poor performance on Saturday.Performance wise we have not seen any progress as yet,and I thought we were quite negative playing against Brackley. His comments aswell of that he hopes Brackley don't play as well next Tuesday were annoying aswell,as we should not be worrying about them.He did get two important wins against Notts County and Carlisle so fair play as they`re the games we must be winning against those sort of Teams.
The Players were asked if they wanted Taylor and they all were keen for him to take over,so no excuses from any players as they`re playing under a Manager they want to play under,so what is done is done and we have to back Taylor and The Team until the end of the season whatever we think of the appointment. We know we need more quality in the side,so hopefully he will be backed in the loan market.

Ok so Taylor it is, I guess that's better than Hessy who I feared was going to re appear. We stopped our reserve team playing in a league a year or two ago, have we got any sort of reserve team and how often do they play?

They are predominantly games ad hoc games arranged relatively secretly. The club can play games as they suit rather than forced to play a game when many players are injured after a 6 month layoff from postponements. I think some people miss going to the games but it is far better for the club.
