Do DO, lol, ooppss slipped, anyway, DO DO DO YOU REMEMBER , DO DO DO YOU RECALL , what the heck was that song ? Only Lidbid will probably remember it, he was a teenager back in the 40's.
My question was going to be DO Gillingham Ladies still play football ? How did they do last year and if they are playing how are they doing this year?
Do they have their own site or is it that they just don't give a fig ?

They're doing exceptionally well , 1066 , unbeaten all season and top of the FA Women's Premier Division Southern Section .

Many apologies everyone, I have been rather busy!
Yes we are doing rather well this season, 1 defeat from August to the Christmas break in all competitions. I think it is something like 57 goals scored and 7 conceeded. That does include all cup competitions. We are top of the league currently and looking good to push on after the break with the FA Cup, Kent Cup and Ryman League Cup semi-finals as well as the League cup quarter finals.
The manager has got them playing an attacking style of football that has seen them blow teams away this season, and they have taken most of the chances they created, bar the one game we lost.

They do seem to be doing fantastically well! What happens if they stay there? Would they win promotion?

Unfortunately not no, they can't go higher than they are now. The next step is WSL 2 and that isn't available for applications for another three or so years I think it is. We weren't successful this time round, so we will try again in the next appplication.

So this is a bit like the old closed shop of the football league in the 50s then? You do well and ask to play with the big boys (in this case girls) until they give in and let you, ha ha! It seems to be gathering pace so lets hope it gets opened up more to really drive it forward, that's what makes our men's game the best in the world!

Sounds like America 32 football teams 32 baseball teams and if you happen to live in a city where there is no team tough luck take up fishing, or my new favorite sport curling, or is it curlew hunting, can't remember but any way rub dem brooms.
