January Transfer Window

The January Transfer opens soon, and I expect we will be quite busy during the month.Harriman`s loan runs out in January,so does Hollands who looks like he could be out for a while with his injury.Craig Fagan`s short term contract also runs out next month, and Donervon Daniels loan runs out aswell. What positions would you like to see us strengthen the side? And do you think we will spend any money? A fan that went to the shareholders meeting on Saturday said that Scally has been talking to potential players, and one of them he is confident of bringing in.

Don't think Scally should go crazy bringing in too many new players , EIGHT or NINE will do, couple of goal scores, someone who can kick the ball with both feet who can play on the left and right , move around and confuse the opposition, a 6foot 5inch tall center forward, don't care if he can even kick the dam thing just stand in the box and head in a few, couple of fullbacks and two midfield guys who know how to trap the ball and PASS it, instead of hoofing up the middle.
That's about it, not much to ask Santa for is it?

It wouldn't surprise me if we see the likes of Lee and Whelpdale placed on the transfer list in January. It sounds like they are still 2 of our highest earners and are unlikely to be offered the same sort of deal and would likely move in the summer. So would it be better to make the change sooner and use the wages elsewhere? Obviously this would mean bringing in 6 or 7 players instead of 3 or 4! Whether there would be any takers given what occured under Allen I don't know.

I have always thought highly of the young players that come through. I thought Jack Evans did alright but was replaced in the end, so to was Callum Davies under Martin Allen. We have had Butcher who impressed but was then dropped and now we have Hessenthaler. He has impressed most people so is he the exception to the rule? Using these players allow us bring in maybe 2 or 3 really good players, a couple in midfield and a striker in my opinion, but if he / they are only short term solutions then we need to find replacements as soon as.

Hardly any clean sheets and a defence that concedes goals suggests we need defenders but we have been leaking goals all season, perhaps it's too late to do much about that now. We do score goals though and the right players can help make sure we outscore the opposition. After all if we are attacking the goal enough we probably will start keeping clean sheets again.

Taylor is not expecting any players in before the window shuts on Friday, but may use the loan window when it reopens.I would like to see a CB like King brought in ideally to give both Legge and Barrett some competition,as Davies does not look in Taylor`s plans at the moment.I expect it will be a loan defender.

I see we have signed young Goalkeeper Sam Baxter after his release by West Ham.Sam announced this on his Twitter on deadline day.I`m not sure where this will leave George Howard who was back up to Nelson.

Well someone is going to be up the creek without a paddle, don't think we need 3 keepers, no rumors of Nelson being wanted by anyone is there ? Maybe Trafalgar United want to re- sign him at the end of the season for a second crack at the Frenchies.?

Ha ha, no thankfully no wanted Nelson apart from us!

The keeper signing is really odd. A young player so they normally command fees regardless of contracts and yet he leaves to come here on non-contract terms, not even a 6 month contract! I would assume he would only do so if he was second choice which then makes the issue with George Howard strange as he was deemed to be a strong player with potential along the same lines. All I can think was that West Ham said he wasn't going to get anywhere with them he he joined us as part of the academy with a view to earning a professional contract perhaps next season.
