Postby Kent_UckyFriedGills » Tue Feb 18, 2014 12:29 am

With Peterborough knocking Swindon out of the JPT on Penaltys, our Game which was due to be played on Saturday 29th March has been postponed.Peterborough will play in the JPT Final on Sunday 30th March. Our game will now be played in midweek at a further date.I was looking to do Peterborough, but when I saw they were still in the JPT I changed my mind to Bristol City instead.

With 2 cup postponements now it was great hindsight to bring forward the Notts County date and get those other games played. We have just 2 full months of the season remaining and have played up to 6 more games than some clubs. With these to make up and the cup ones as well, fitting them in would be incredibly difficult. Crawley could easily see themselves going down due to burn out trying to fit all those games in. Better to lose a match and go again a week later then lose due to fatigue which then impacts a game that would probably have been won 3 days later.

Don't agree,we got our butts handed to us in a basket at Notts Cty, would love to be playing that game again next Wednesday. Even if every team below us won every match they have in hand we would still be 14th in the table and I will bet you a penny to a pinch of shiola that ain't going to happen.
As for being poor tired footballers wish I had a job where I turned up for a couple of hours to workout a few days a week, play 90 minutes on a Saturday and get a couple of months off in the summer, lol.
Only guy I know who got to work a couple of hours a day and got 20 weeks off a year was Lidbid, course he also got to retire at 48 , though he was going to play golf every day, but and there is always a" butt," Mrs. Lidbid had other ideas, now he is like poor old Richard in the Bucket Woman program, driving Miss Daisy around all day. Sorry Mrs. Lidbid, don't mean your the Bucket Woman, lol, lovely woman, lovely woman.

She is a lovely woman; going off to work everyday at 7:30 as I roll over in bed! Fully retire at Easter apart from the odd day supply when I will be dusted down and brought out to regale some poor unsuspecting kids about stories from the old days!!

LOL,LOL,LOL,LOL, you telling me the little lady only has one job, come on man , couple of hours working at Micky D's of an evening would give you a few extra quid towards your beer money, lol, just a thought. Laughing at the comment about the stories of the " good old days" when we actually did things like played, went outdoors, wrote real words in sentences everyone could understand. Thanks I needed a laugh today, now just need a Gills win before I head off to my second job at Burger King, good to stay busy I say, and anyway it's only till I can afford to buy her that new kitchen, probably only be doing this for 7 or 8 more years.

Let's gloss over the game shall we; just pretend it never happened! Rubbish performance, horrible opposition and terrible ref.

I agree. But I still think we are in a better situation losing a game in a week than Crawley who I believe will now have to fit in 3 games in a week.....and that's provided they have no more postponements. They can't possibly win all of those so games on the board will be better.
