Got to ask myself why ? Why not wait till the end of the season and make this decision, it's not like other teams are knocking on the door desperate to sign him.
I think under Taylor we are doomed, doomed I say ,to just more of the same mid table football for the length of the contract. Please Mr. Taylor prove me wrong and take us up next year.

Luke Caldwell from the KM said there was some interesting news yesterday, and it was not an April Fools.I think fans thought it could be Taylor signing a longer deal, but it ended up being Scally saying we can make the playoffs.

Mr. Scally in stating this you have made your self look like a rite Burk, who has no idea in what is happening in the real word of Division One football. OH I see it's an April Fools joke, nice one Scally real funny. This speech may, just may have sounded intelligent in early January, but at the start of April with only a few games left Mr. Scally you are an April Fool.
We have 7 games left, that's 21 points total and if we won every game that would put us in 6th spot and were assuming Peterborough don't win again this season??
I think he must have got his liquor license in Dubai and was celebrating his first trip to The Barn in Ajman to get his cheap booze.

I was wondering what happened to the news. I expected news about the new stadium and such but saw nothing except that comment from Mr Scally. I guess that must have been the "not an April Fool" news but how ridiculous. I'm all for ambition but let's be realistic as we have been well short of the target so far.

I guess if he is the chosen one its best make it permanent now so that we can start tying down players to new deals and get other players he wants as theirs ends. Otherwise it is another last minute dash to sign players during the pre-season friendlies, we can't afford that if we want to build on this season.

Well he can put to bed the playoff talk now,as Peterbrough won again tonight 2-0 against Colchester ;) .Yeah I think we should sort Taylor`s new deal out shortly, hopefully after a positive result on Saturday.

Just the latest in a long line of non announcements, including, in no particular order, new ground ( x about 20), feasibility study results, investors, business partners in Dubai plus interminable hints on players and managers.
What we know is that providing the salary keeps arriving Mr S will never abandon the good ship GFC nor will he ever have any ambitions other than to keep it afloat and drifting nowhere.

Good grief I work for Scally, he is my boss, here we don't call him Mr. Scally ,we call him The Government of the good old USA.

Rimshot has voiced my thoughts entirely.

I think as gillingham fans we have to forget the dance in the championship and recognise where we are and where we are going to stay.

We are a div 1 team at very best and div 2 team at worst. We will just jog between the 2 of them all the time Mr Scally is in charge. Our fun days are gone as such,
and all we can do is enjoy the odd win against the perceived big boys every now and then like wolves.

I am not being pessimistic I am just being honest. It was like that for most of the 70's and 80's and it will be like that again.

We do not have the fans, we do not have the money and we do not have the ambition. The stadium is difficult to get to in this modern era. Residents parking in most places, no real large parking areas nearby.
Prices of £23.00 to watch a game, which means even if you do not get quality on the pitch you could at least expect a bit of quality off of it, but No, all the TV's in the RE no longer work, the food stalls regulary run
out of food, never enough bar staff in the blues rock, beer at £3.50 a bottle inside the ground. NOTHING to reward the fans for continued loyalty.

I do not think this is just GFC, I think this is now football in general. The clubs just accept fans find it hard to give up on their clubs so just take them for granted.

Scally's only interest in this club is the fact it pays him a relatively good salary.
