This was easy before Kedwell picked up his injuries as it was him I felt that had had the biggest impact this season. Since then I don't think anyone has had a significant impact to pick up the award so who would be your choice for the award and why? Nelson has made great stops but even he was disappointed at the lack of clean sheets and has stopped considerably less shots this season. Personally, if you went for dependable and a player more constant in his game, I would go for Joe Martin. Gregory has been key this season but had the odd moments when you hold your head in your hands but then who doesn't (apart from Kedwell). I don't think people would ever vote for Gregory which is a shame, he has come along leaps and bounds in my opinion.

Up until Kedwell`s injury he would have got my vote, but going over the whole season I have gone for Nelson. He has won us points in games, and kept us in games all season with his important saves.

Having not seen any games just reading the reports etc, I think Nelson, sad thing is his name gets mentioned more during games then anyone else when I read the scrolls, maybe there should not be a Player of the Year award, same as I do not think there should be Noircat Award this year.

Trouble with Nelson is I think he will be highly disappointed with the clean sheet situation. Only Bristol City have had less this season and Crewe the same as us, just 6. Even the other three sides in the bottom four have have kept 10 or 11 and I'm not sure how many of those were kept by the same keeper whereas Stuart has played every game. Last season he stopped around 85% of shots, this season it is the mid 60's. He has still made the crucial saves but in reality he has been let down by the defence.

In quite a few games he has kept us in games where Teams have been dominating.I feel sorry for him having to play infront of a defence that leaks goals like ours.If were were safe by now I think he would have had a new contract offer by now.
