Had to sit through 15 minutes of listening to "The Controversy" of whether Newcastle players were off side when the ball went in the net and the goal was disallowed.
Three players offside, standing in front of the keeper, one of them had to lean sideways to avoid the ball hitting him, and the debate is were they offside because they were not interfering with play ?
Why all this love for Newcastle, of course they were interfering with play , the keeper could not even see the ball, you know that because he made no attempt to try and save it, he didn't know where it was because of all the Newcastle players standing in front of him OFFSIDE.

He couldn't see the ball because of his OWN players obscuring his view! Every pundit seems to agree that they were not offside! But I agree with you, how can they not be interfering being so close to the keeper. I hate rules that are open to interpretation, one ref gives it every time whilst another never, that makes football a bit of a joke surely?!

Why can't we say play-on if not interfering when outside of the box but an offside flag would be given when nearer to the opposition keeper anywhere inside the box? At least fans could agree what is or isn't. After all they insisted on goal-line technology then muddy the waters with this.

The fact in this case is that the player had to make a deliberate move to get out of the way of the ball - it just has to be interference.

Agreed that all off-sides should be given when they are in the penalty area irrespective of any other circimstances

I often wonder why all the comities, delegations, organizations in the World find it so hard to get anything done, put the posters on this board in charge of the Worlds problems and they will all be solved by Saturday, tee time for every one at 9.30 Saturday morning, bring you A games boys and girls , we will be playing for a buck a hole.
Isn't it all so dam obvious, why is it only we can see it, hang on what's this we bit, DAM Garawa you can't see it, always one isn't there , here we go , skip the tee time ,everyone back to the meeting room, someone order the donuts and coffee ?
