http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-ox ... e-20566207How very sad to hear this news. So young to be struck down. Thought to his family and friends and to Oxford Utd.

Absolutely; horrible news and I offer my thoughts as well although that obviously doesn't really help much. It should just make everyone relish every day.

I thought it was a nice touch for AFC Wimbledon players yesterday. They all wore arm bands with Mitch written on.

This is very sad news, but why thoughts to Oxford United? Left Oxford United in February 2011. What about all the other clubs who aided his development as a footballer...Norwich City, West Ham United, Grays Athletic, Southend United.

Mark do you suck a lemon just before you come on here?

Mark is all giddy because he's excited about Christmas.
I'm guessing we should show sympathy to Oxford because the lad had to retire from them.

My apologies for missing details, I only read the report that I posted. Does it matter what clubs he did or didn't play for, poor lad is dead before his time.

I know I'm not bright Mark, but I did guess you didn't like Christmas. Bet you'll enjoy it a little more next year though

Yes, with the baby arriving in April, I expect I may become a happier person where christmas is concerned if only for the little one!

Mark, Christmas takes on a whole new persona when kids come along believe me! Christmas used to mean to me VERY long hours when everyone else was asleep/getting drunk and working days and nights at a thousand miles an hour with everyone constantly moaning at you because you had sold out of an item they waited weeks for hoping it would be half price in the Jan Sale! Now I am like a kid myself
Packed the kids off to grandma's Fri/Sat to decorate/obliterate the house with decorations and lights. The reactions when they came home and saw them was absolutely priceless - even our 16 month old couldn't contain herself. Having just lost to Preston it wouldn't have mattered had we just lost 15-0 at home to Blyth Spartans!
As for the young lad I agree with Kezz. It doesn't matter who he did or didn't play for, the football community lost a member they should really not have done.

Good to see Fabrice Muamba on Sports personality 2012 last night, also lovely to see Mitchell Cole thought of too. It's inspired me to ride the Tour of Kent next year for heart charities.
