Artificial pitches (again)!

Just watching the Andorra v Wales match on the artificial pitch. Not sure how international football allows it but not lower football league but hey ho. They say it acts exactly the same as grass but it doesn't look like that to me! In fact, it looks totally different and I find it uncomfortable to watch! The green is so green it looks like the saturation button on my TV has been ramped up to 100%. The pitch is slightly bouncier and the surface a little more reflective giving the bouncing ball a shadow that looks terrible and makes your eyes feel like they are blurring! Then there is all that black dust being kicked up....what's that all about.

I was open to the idea of NEEDING it but against it's use if not essential but after this I don't see any benefit apart from helping to prevent a concertinaring of fixtures.

Here the NFL plays on imitation grass , called Field Turf , the stuff looks and feels like the real thing but Mr David Beckham God bless his little cotton socks managed to get it a bad rap when it was installed in Seattle when he came to grace our shores, basically saying it was OK for the scrubs to play on it but not the great David Beckham, (a**hole) .
He later went into partnership with some company that manufactures another type of field turf being installed in schools and collages.
Main complaint seems to be it is a bit more tiring to play on than natural turf.
Saves the average team somewhere in the region of a quarter of a million bucks a year in maintenance, whats that 3 new forwards and a pay rise for Mrs Scully ?
