For some inexplicable reason I have become obsessed with away shirts, and why clubs play in what colors.
Arsenal played today in blue and black even though the home team Swansea where all white ( I know Arsenal have a certain amount of white in their strip) but one would assume they could come up with an all red strip. Liverpool playing away at Mansfield play in their home strip, is it all about shirt sales, because if it is I can not imagine anyone buying Arsenals away strip. OK Scally would but no one else surly ?

The Gills do it every now and again. I believe if there has been no kit clashes for a period of time, the away strip will be played in regardless whether or not the home strip would have clashed anyway. If fans bought the away strip and then never saw the team play in it, they would be annoyed. I may be wrong but it makes sense.

Hard to tell the difference with Gills this season!
