Nigel Pearson sacked by Leicester

It never fails to amaze me how odd some of the managerial "casualties" are. Today, just as players return from holidays to start pre-season training, Leicester decide that it's time for their manager to go. Now obviously something has gone on but here we have a man who, let's face it, went a bit loopy under the pressure and they stood by him. He wrestled an opposing player to the ground and held his throat stopping him from getting up and they stood by him. He then turn phoenix and pulls off the survival feat of the century and then they wait for weeks whilst the place was idle and sack him!

I'm not sure I'll ever understand what goes on!

I've just been listening to this story from BBC radio. They reckon it's not football related but related to the sacking of his son after a sexist and racist rant while on holiday in Thailand. 3 players were sacked. Names mentioned to replace him were Dyche, Big Sam and Vieira.

Just seems a bit odd though that they are happy to sack someone on the basis of what someone else did but not when he potentially brought the club into disrepute by wrestling a player on the pitch! Perhaps its more a case of "straw breaking the camel's back" so to speak.

Don't forget his son made a sex tape with a girl in Thailand and then racially abused her. Leicester is owned by two Thai business men. They sacked the boy, so who knows what has been said behind the scenes knowing Pearson's hot head and loose tongue. He was sacked last season by the owner only to be re-instated on the intervention of the owners son. Big Sam would be a good fit there. He has never been relegated.
