Time to tackle the cheats?

Postby Garawa » Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:18 pm

After one of the most blatant piece of diving in the Man City v Chelsea FA Cup match yesterday I think it is time this was stamped out. What is the point at all of goal-line technology to ensure goals stand when scored if we can simply hand match-winning goals away to anyway good enough at cheating?

I think anyone found on camera after the game deliberately feigning a trip to win a free-kick or penalty should be banned for 5 games. I'm sure the managers would then insist their players act fairly on the pitch and goals might just then be one's actually scored from normal means. As players get quicker and passing too it is impossible for the ref to be able to accurately call it all. It has always been part of the game but as technology improves it seems this continues to make the game a bit of a laughing stock.

Most games have players diving all over the show , looks like a bloody ballet, and I blame the Italians for it, there the ultimate experts in the diving game.
What really makes me up chuck is after the dive they try and get the "offending player " booked, screaming at the ref while they grab the wrong leg.
