Sunday 4th
The Gills finished the season in 17th position. They finished 10th in consecutive seasons in 2019/20 and 2020/21 and have now finished 17th twice in the last 3 seasons. They have also finished 17th in 3 of the last 8 seasons and in 4 of the last 12.

The Gills used 37 players in all senior league and cup games this season. It was the most used in a campaign since the 37 selected during the 2012/13 promotion winning season.
