The Gills 1-5 loss against MK Dons was their first defeat by more than 3 goals since 3 games were lost by 3+ goals in the 2023/4 season (one being a home 0-4 defeat). They then conceded 5 against Cambridge, losing successive matches by 5+ goals for the first time since the 1965/6 season.
Monday 16th
The 1-5 scoreline against MK Dons was only the Gills 4th by that scoreline at home, the last was during the 1980/1 season (there had been 6 away from home since then). The Gills hadn't conceded 5 at home since November 2017 and that was in a win!
